Battenlok Standing Seam Roof

Battenlok

The advantages of Battenlok include the aesthetically pleasing architectural design with vertical ribbed seams, which are easily custom flashed.

Battenlok is good not only for hips and valleys, but also for turndown mansards. The panels can be turned down over the eaves to form a wall panel appearance.

A unique feature of the Battenlok is sidelaps that are mechanically seamed with an electric seamer for a sure lock. This system features easy to handle 16" wide panels with over 50 years of service in the market place. The proven durability and performance of the Battenlok panel, with the factory installed mastic and swagged endlaps ensures weather-tightness.

Battenlok is a structural panel that spans up to 5' on purlins, or can be used as an architectural panel on plywood and felt substrate. Battenlok is a flat panel with vertical ribs creating no voids, therefore no eave closure plugs are required. Battenlok is designed to meet the ever changing AISI specifications and other industry codes.

Battenlok panels are 16" wide flat profile standing seam panels. Designed for re-roofing existing buildings or roofing new ones of any type, the panels have 2" high ribs and are machine joined at the edges with a mechanically locking seamer. Lengths up to 45' are available, longer panels may be ordered.

Battenlok panels are available in 24-gauge zinc aluminum alloy coated steel, 50,000 psi minimum yield strength. Royal K-70 fluoro-carbon coating is formulated with Kynar 500® polyvinylidene flouride [70% of resin solids]. Kynar 500® is a registered trademark of Atochem North America, Inc.

Ultra-Dek System

A&S's Standing Seam line offers snap and machine systems. Both are constructed to provide a high degree of weather-tightness and have been tested by independent laboratories in accordance with ASTM E283 and E331 [for water penetration and air infiltration].

Double-Lok System

No panel penetration is required over the building envelop other than at the endlaps, which are connected by a compression joint specifically designed to seal out the elements.

Furthermore, panel sidelaps arrive at the job site containing a pre-applied sealant that also contributes to the Double-Lok system's weather-tight construction.

DuraSeal® Metal Roof Systems

A&S Building Systems offers snap and machine systems. Both are constructed to provide a high degree of weather-tightness and have been tested by independent laboratories in accordance with ASTM E282 and E331 [for water penetration and air infiltration]. To guard against leakage, gables finish in a 3' high standing seam, never in the flat valleys of the roof where leakage is most likely to occur. [This is true even for buildings that are out of square by up to 4".] No panel penetration is required over the building envelope other than at the endlaps which are connected by a compression joint specially designed to seal out the elements. Furthermore, panel sidelaps arrive at the job site containing a pre-applied sealant that also contributes to the DuraSeal® roof systems' weather-tight construction. DuraSeal® roof systems come with an optional 20 year limited warranty for weather-tightness.

DuraSeal® Metal Roof Systems are backed by engineering support to ensure that each roof is right for each building. Panels can be custom designed to fit the size, style and special features of almost any commercial structure.
